lisa83 0
Hi there my name is lisa.. I am a homeless Dog Co-ordinater for a Greyhound Sanctuary.. we also sometimes get the odd lurcher who comes through are doors.. I have been looking for help and happened to find your site.. I really hope you dont mind me posting as i know this is not a normal accurance. I am asking for your help as you as a forum will have more knowledge on our situation as we manl deal with Greyhounds.. here is our Situation.. We over 5/6 months ago had a Bull Lurcher brought to us. He came to us quite thin and had been found in the shed. A couple of weeks later he was taken into a foster home where he became very dominante and was humpin everything.. He had just been Neutered, so we thought pehaps this may have been to soon and his poor hormons would have been all over.. Again a coupleof weeks after the person owning are kennels walked into Merry and noticed his coat had fallen off. he tried to sort this.. Merry Bite and a big bite that he was not letting go of, the guy had to go to hospital and have major surgery. We did not PTS as he is a very healthy dog and also very loving, we put it down as kennels stress and pehaps down food issues. We moved him to a different kennels where he found a home... We had told the guy to Muzzle Merry all the time as he had bitten .. we do not know the whole story only that Merry was brought back to us.. I have met and worked mith merry and my husband is in love we as a charity our grasping a straws. i will be taking merry to get test's done to see if he has any problems.. But we don't really know the full deatils of bull lurchers we have hit a wall. I am hoping that coming on here maybe i could get some addvice or that someone has worked with a tempremental lurcher and finds there is no problems with the right training.. Any advice greatly received........... If i have over stepped a mark by posting on here then i am sorry and please can the mods Delete this and i will undersatnd.. i am just trying help this beautiful Boy.... If your not stupid you're stark raving mad. Only one place that poor dog should be going, and it shouldn't be coming back. Quote Link to post

artic 595
One bite was enough in my books. The dog should be put to sleep, what a silly move passing it on to someone else. Best thing to do now is locate the dog and do the necessary before its too late and actually kills someone this time. Look back at what you have written, look at the words you have typed, then re consider your actions. Quote Link to post
