You often find the pellet in the nest box or in the hutch when your cleaning it out.Never had a ferret eat the pellet yet.

i find the shot/ pellet clean rolling round in the bottom of the hutch, i can only assume they eat round them or spit them out

2 weeks ago in countryman weekly there was an article about a GOSHAWK that got lead poisoning from a either a rabbit or a game bird that it had caught and got to eat as treat so sounds possible to me, prob best just being carefull just in case.

Thanks for all the replies, it seems that it is safe enough to feed them on shot game. Which is a relief as this is what I aim to feed mine on. I am guessing that they can get piosoned from heavy metals as can any living creature, but obviously not so prone as birds. It was the afore mentioned article in countrymans that prompted my querry.
