Reloading a 308

Can anyone help I am looking into reloading ammunition for my steyr 308,at this moment I am using Norma 150 grain ballistic tips which shoots realy well ,but due to the pices that im having to pay I need to change. does anyone have any information on which powder and heads would be most sutible.

all the hornady 150 gns are good

 

vittatori n140 powder will be ok at 43 to 45 gns behind 150 gn bullet

What model Steyr is it?

My SSG really liked Norma 180 grn factory loads.

It's worth giving a 180grn head a try. It might suit your barrel.

Slightly shorter and lighter barrel than the SSG.

I use AA2460 with a 168gr softpoint, it's the cheapest of the cheap, but my cz 550 puts them sub moa easily so that will do me!
