poacher3161 1,766 Posted June 23, 2009 Report Share Posted June 23, 2009 why on earth would you want to put an english bull terrier into a lurcher for. for starters how could that rubbish work maybe it would have a little sniff around but come on wake up its to slow to catch a rabbit what have it got to offer except all the bad points you don't want in a lurcher to be honest people like you who breed rubbishy dogs like them are the fault in most lurchers around the country today and i dont care what other people say because them who stick up for you aint true lurcher men there boys who have never grown up and don't under stand the meaning of the true lurcher and keep crapy dogs in there kennels them selfs even though they wont admit it then again its not that they wont admit it, its because they dont no what a descent working dog is i bet no one will come out and agree with me because they carnet be botherd to argue with people who havent got a clue at all. at the end of the day a english bull terrier is not a hunting dog just a great big lump of rubbish you people should be ashamed of your selfs propper bunch of idiots and i couldent give a fook what any of you over rated dog divs say and if you ever want to run one of those ebt xs against another dog let me noMy thoughts as well but got pm no negative comments please lol messers. ginga john 268 Posted June 24, 2009 Report Share Posted June 24, 2009 Well looks like this breeding has brought out its share of comments, if the bitch does a bit and isn't too heavily built then why not there are many bull x lurchers that have used a show type staff over a "never made the grade" greyhound that are for sale and are average at best, i once owned a rather large ebt dog that would have made a good cross for a greyhound but it will be interesting to see what the reverse breeding (ebt dam) will turn out like. these dogs will not be coursing material but if they are reasonably athletic and carry the bite and vigour of a good ebt then they will definately have a place of work The grey brindle with the white face looks a little stunner and i'm sure that this breeding could make a useful addition to a small pack of terriers. Good luck with the pups and keep us all up to date with how thay turn out. exactly,theres no reason wht these shouldnt have a place in the working society, theyll have more than 1 use!! i sometimes think that some peoples ability to accept something partially new is none exsistent!! ive heard a few storys of how these were added to a mix and been some of the best dogs that have been used for the purpose theyre wanted for after talking to people with many years behind them,all we can do is put our time into them and wait for the outcome, they have no reason not to be athletic and i see you do have a eye! the brindles the one we will be keeping back, the pics dont do him justice at that!! but i suppose these days if you have a pedigree bull terrier the majority see the coin and breed back to a bt, but all i can say is ill keep people updated with pics and progress regards kate Quote Link to post
