MuttleMcTuttle 21 Posted June 22, 2009 Report Share Posted June 22, 2009 Lovely pics - pheasants have to be among the cutest babies Haven't mangled a chick yet, but I've had a few hen birds with my mower... the daft things just sit so tight and are impossible to see in the long grass The mum & chicks usually hide in the last bit of grass in the middle of the field, then I have to escort them to the rough because the crows and kestrels are loitering with intent... Being young kids we caught a few, then let them go again to join their mum. When i got home my old grandad bollocking me , saying we could have reared them under the chickens for the pot!!
