woollyback 0
Has anyone got a pair they'd recommend? I've used the Prologic Max4-ThermoArmour Salopettes for the last two seasons but ripped them last season . They were brilliant, very warm, comfortable. Only obvious problem was you can only go in water as high as your wellie thats why I've decided to bite the bullet and buy a pair of waders. Whats the best pair I can get; Im after a reasonable price, warm and most of all comfortable. Cheers, Woolly Also, whats the difference between cleated, felt and studded cleated sole? and which is the best? Edited June 21, 2009 by woollyback

Cleated is yer bog standard welly sole, studded is for gripping in gravelly river beds, felt soles are only really for walking over slimy rocks. For wildfowling I use cleated neoprene chest waders, warm when walking but toasty when sat stil for ages in the mud !!

mudman 14
Whatever you buy don't expect them to last for ever. I reckon if I get two seasons out of a pair I have done well. Well worth the expense though if you shoot proper foreshore and get down and dirty out on the flats and in the creeks.
