Guest bravo24v
Theoben MFR .22 or Logan S16 .22 Kev Quote Link to post
gnipper 6,615
MFR by a long way, the s16's are total wank in comparison with most PC's. They had one in my local gun shop fuly kitted out with bipods etc etc and it was awful, they knew that too which is why it was reduced Quote Link to post
half n' half 8
i agree the loguns are crap,i've had one and sharp got rid!!! Quote Link to post
ChrisJones 7,975
I had an extensive test of the Logun S16 and I couldn't get on with it. The rifle is over engineered which translates to thick c**** like me having to study the instructions before taking the rifle out. My first day with the S16 and I managed to get 7 pellets stuck up the barrel because I couldn't get used to the 'half cocking' action on the rifle. If the choice was mine I'd go with the Theoben. hawkanddog 0
I can only speak of my experience with the L/Handed Air Arms S410 .22 carbine. I have a silencer and SR12 scope fitted. It is a deadly combination, I have had so much sucess all I can do is say, its reliable, accurate, gives good power delivery, easy to load and value for money. It comes in left or right handed models. A good all round bit of kit. Quote Link to post

Strong Stuff 2,171
MFR ! Beautifully made and finished, proper craftsmanship. Have got one in .22 myself, with a Bushnell Legend 5 - 15 X 40 scope on, am soooooooooooo pleased with it. Really a pleasure to use, have had a few rifles over the last 25 years and this is the best by a long way, only thing that could improve on this I reckon would be a Ben Taylored one maybe? Are you buying new? All the best. Quote Link to post
hawkanddog 0
At the end of the day they all decent, some better than others though quality wise. Its down to your own personnal choice, you can usually tell by the feel of the gun, if its right for you. You can spend as much as you like on a gun, its all down to what suits your pocket also in the end! But you must practice, practice and practice more once you get it. Happy Shootin Quote Link to post

Happy Shootin I would go for the MFR. I personally use a S400 that does the job beautifully - its relatively cheap and the accuracy is superb, hunting out to 45 yards wind conditions permitting. The S410 is a lovely rifle too - the multi-shot is a nice feature, but im a bit old school and prefer to feed the pellets myself. Im not a fan of having to fiddle loading pellets into multishots and keeping an eye on how many are left. To be honest the MFR is a beautiful rifle, but I would probably just grab a second hand rapid if I were you - superb accuracy/consistancy. kindest regards, jon Quote Link to post
donnyc 1,203
MFR the better of the two mentioned ,BUT be prepared for the reg to fail and it will .Theoben regs renowned for failing (O) rings .Plus internals of the reg are finished to a sub standard Quote Link to post
