desertdog 149
we never had locaters when i started out, a bar, a spade, and a good dog, i think locaters have wrecked terriers and terrier work, but thats only my thoughts, half the fun was a good dig, with yer pals, a flask of tea, bottle of beer, a good cheese and pickle sarniea and the craic, locaters are the ruin of all decent terrier work and good dogs, , but they will, help you out and cut time, how ever did we get on without them, any thoughts on that? Guest AngelicAcid
Some relatives never used them, normally just a spade, and crowning, mind you these earths were worked for a lot of years and most werent deep, a lot of the time got the quarry and dog out, dont really think they used a Bar either. Mind this was a long time ago. Quote Link to post
