I like this Acting Lark............Luvvies

Recommended Posts

Well it had to happen sooner or later........Old Rolfey has succumed to popular demand and dressed up as a Victorian Poacher for a sequence in a DVD production about rural Norfolk's history. I have been asked to dress up in a pilots uniform in the past........ but that's another story. ;)

So.......I had to mooch through some woods, take a few shots with the folding .410 poachers gun, and generally look a scruffy itinerent type character........bit like Bill Sykes. I had to meet a Victorian lady in the woods (stop it) and hand over a rabbit and pheasant for her to secrete under some sacking in a basket. I also had to steal a few pheasant eggs........and demonstrate a Norfolk Hingle........used for poaching pheasants. (the hoop snare is the best way to describe it, but the wire is fixed to the top of the hoop instead of the side and was used in and around the covets to take pheasant and partridge)..........Anyway..........thought you might like to see a few shots from the day................but bugger this acting lark.....gimme ferrets, traps and rabbits any day..........Bye Bye Luvvies :blink:

Its all good fun LOL Let us know when the DVD comes out! So we can have a good old laugh. :clapper: The most boring week of my life was spent when one of my dogs was in a short film about a boy and his dog who lived on the fens. Endless waiting around, then waking the dog up every now and again for a 2 second sequence that was cut down to a milli second in the final version: no more luvvies for this one. :D

Hey hey!!! Don't you look the biz?!!! :clapper:

I like the hat best!! Very Greengrass!!

I've done a bit too, and whilst it really can be very dull, it makes for a good tale!! I took a badger round the country for a few things, and Jay, the GSD did a bit in his hay day.
