UNFIT 0 Posted June 17, 2009 Report Share Posted June 17, 2009 im new to this forum ,but not to working dogs ,why do nearly all on her go on about looks ,i will tell you why ,you do not get out much with dogs that do there job ,that is why .this site does nothing for the real working dogs ,i wont reply to any comments ,because you wont convince me other wise ,and i cant stand stupid comments ,hope i do not upset the owners of this site but it has to be said .looks are for show dogs ,i have said my piece ,so fire away with your comments . lurcher lass 9 Posted June 18, 2009 Report Share Posted June 18, 2009 your right mate, too many people go for a type of coat or colour etc i own three lurchers, all i have picked due to their tempermant, the parents working ability and the vibe on breeder, if i don't feel secure with the breeder i wont but the pup, no matter what kind sounds strabge but my eldest bitch i chose due to a vibe and a certain way she had about her, i don't go for certain breed types either, i spent 8 months searching for the correct pup, though i had lurcher in my head and i knew i didn't want a dog to heavy mouthed or too intelligent i.e lots of collie but hey thats me. i saw a pair of dogs being sold and the blue was being priced at much higher all the best lurcher lass x x x x Quote Link to post

Well iv got news for you boyo YOUR NOT. There's people on here who know more about dogs than you can dream of and there is also people who have done a lot for working dog and hunting in general. Guest vin Posted June 18, 2009 Report Share Posted June 18, 2009 seen some funny looking dogs,that wouldnt get yard space in most peoples kennels..but they were workers..im sure some of them old T Mcfee dogs that came down to yorkshire in the 1980s were to blame for the ugly stick. my mate had one that coursing men laughed at when they saw it... that is until they saw it outrun all there big saluki Xs. anyway chaps...never mind the dogs...what about the OWNERS...ive got some foooooookin ugly mates ... IS IT TRUE WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT DOGS LOOKING LIKE THIER OWNERS ? atb vin a dont know about that vin but i would say his dogs wer better looking than him melvin kee---- atvb did you ever see that dog of his called DAISEY... small and long little black bitch..about 23".... nowt to look at but fast as a whippet with the with the stamina of a saluki.. it was a reet little dog...i saw that dog run some big hares and keep going when all other dogs have jacked in... we used to think it would end up dying on a run...it just kept going... that was a dog ! old lad hasnt even got a dog nowdays...he,s been poorly for some time.... we had some laffs with him and his mates when we were young uns.. good old days..hehee. i remeber getting pulled by coppers one night while walking up a lane with him and a few others.... he wouldnt stop or talk or even giv his name...it was like one of them old war films...he was giving old bill some right lip... in end they drove away..they just could,nt be bothered arguing with him. i,ll tell him you said hello. atb vin Quote Link to post
