Phantom 631
I went out his morning (03:15) as it was getting light to the paddock for a spot of Bunny Bashing, Corvid Capping and Pigeon Popping Got there and hey, BUNNIES, loads of em I had to climb over the Tall Gate and of course they all vanished The owner has cut loads of the scrub down and now the only way to stalk the wabbits is to get on my belly and crawl withing range. Trouble with that is the amound of horse crap everywhere. There are 7 horses and they produce a hell of a lot of the stuff Now the ONLY cover I have is to sit at the side of the caravan or behind the hay box and horse box. All well out of range of the bunnies Crawled through the crap to just within range of a couple of bunnies pushed the safety off and began to squeeze the trigger Bloody nag pushed against my right side knocking me off balance Bunnies of course did a runner. I must have had 20 or so opportunities but either the nags got in the way or those ruddly little Shetlands stuck their noses in and I couldn't get a safe shot off This is gonna be one hell of a challenge. Any advice as how to make the best of this would be appreciated. Phantom Quote Link to post
steven price 0
try speaking to the owner and point out the damage that the bunnies are doing, tell him or her about your problem and see if you can get the field cleared for a afternoon so that you can get a start on them. regards steve Quote Link to post

stealthy1 3,964
I find that once you kick the biggest horse up the a*se they tend to stay away Once the horses get used to you they will stay out of your way, just be patient . Quote Link to post
postiepaul 0
nicely ask the owner if its possible to move the horsebox to a good sniping position and set yourself up in it and shoot through the slats, should stop the ponies pestering as well. Quote Link to post

Phantom 631
Thanks guy's. Another Question or two! My right hand is now swolen from the side where my pinkie is to the thumb! Looks like a small bite My ass has HUGE bites on it as have my legs back and chest any ideas what insects are likely to be getting through military spec clothing feasting on my blood? and how can I prevent this? I'm loathed to use the insect repellant I use when fishing as its got quite a powerful whiff Phantom Quote Link to post

ghillies 209
i had one horse freek at a rabbit being head shot infront of it... was doing a spin, so i went over it was dead like, then straight to horse and cumforted what i thought was distraught at the rabbit, as i said itys ok i got it the horse was ok then lol... she thought the thing was getting away lol, theyre more aware than you think.. so carfull what you say they may get yu back later in a huff.... a freaked horse hitting barbed wire or jumping into the road can be costly... and very traumatic.
