MrGreen 0
Hi All, it's no doubt been asked a gazillion times before, but the lady who owns my permission has asked me to, *ahem*, harass some big black birds who are killing all the songbird chicks and scoffing the eggs etc. No doubt crows 'cos I caught one 'inspecting' one of my shot bunnies last time I was there. To the point, with a .177 S400, which is the best option for clean kills? Ta Paul. Quote Link to post
Wolly 4
HEAD shots only  Quote Link to post
Malt 379
Just to chuck the cat amongst the big black birds...... It all depends on the range, your shooting, etc, but as long as they end up with a clean death, it doesn't matter. Having said that, it is always good practice to aim for the head. Quote Link to post

The ribs aren't that thick either side of the breastplate. I was just offering an alternative.... Quote Link to post

MrGreen 0
ringpiece Bit hard to distinguish in amongst all those tail feathers. I was out with a mate a while back who took a bunny up the chuff with his .22 rimmy. Made the loudest 'plop' noise, kinda like scooping a large spoon of jelly from a bowl....How we laughed!!
