DEAD OR ALIVE!!! to true bud good post blocking them in is no good.i had to leave a terrier in the ground years ago to go and get a spade when out for a walk.was 1hour from home left my coat out side one of the holes when i got back he was sat there waiting for me. I dont know bout anyone else but i know we block up the holes until after the dig in case there is a bolt. I mean once the dog is in working you could have a couple of red boys laying up and you dont want to lose them through stupidness IMO. That works for us like. Quote Link to post

bud9 79 Posted June 18, 2009 Author Report Share Posted June 18, 2009 this is my lad sparky from 27years ago a very good worker and a very hard terrier every body expected the black uns to be hard i think he was about 3-4 in the pick he lived to 17 years a good age, i never lost a terrier below ground but came close a few times, most of the work was with the hounds hard looking terrier scotsman i heard he was a cracking dog in his day but you no yourself you cant get away with terriers like that these days Quote Link to post
