sheepworrier 1
having lost mpi whilst shooting on ranges and fault finding to find the cause, it came down to the mod (dragon .243) On removal it shot OK, but off zero, I then dropped the mod in the car and heard a rattle Mmmm said I what was that. Picked up mod and shook it oh did it rattle. My problem is its only fired 250 rounds and is now as much use as a hand brake on a canoe so to speak. Am i doing something wrong or is it a common fault, and more to the point can it be repaired ? Quote Link to post
SNAP SHOT 194
Sounds like rust has set in mate, if its a non strippable the only thing to do is spray a little gun oil in and let it dry..... apart from that not much you can do ... if its a t8 like mine you may have comeback form the shop you bought it from as t8 had a few faulty with pin holes showing up in no time at all, Snap. I would think that it is easily repaired as long as you can get it apart. If you dont fancy doing it yourself and dragon wont help feel free to pm me and I will do it for you. sheepworrier 1
Cheers for the replies guys, I don't know the number for dragon, and looking at it, it doesn't seem to be strippable so if your not too far away from bridgend I'd like to take you up on that Colin. Quote Link to post

Hi Ive done a little more digging and dragon made a D3 version which was non strippable and for .243 to .308. This unit has a bonded front end cap and mild steel baffles (which may be why its rattling). If you want me to have a look at it I am up in Mid Wales so you can either take a trip up or post it (unless you are going to be at the Welsh Game Fair) in which case you can drop it off at the Mid Wales Rifle Club stand. Up to you but you know where I am if you need any more assistance. Colin :) Quote Link to post
