Holland 0
As you all know i'm quite new to this. I see alot of you refer to the "season". Rabbits and foxes, being vermin don't have an offical season in the UK. When does your season start and end, and for what reasons do you impose it? Quote Link to post

Rabbits and foxes, being vermin don't have an offical season in the UK. When does your season start and end, and for what reasons do you impose it? To allow the quarry to breed and to give them a fair chance of surviving, it's much easier to catch a rabbit, hare or fox when they're not fully grown, overweight, or carrying young. Guest world.hunters
all boils down to respect for the quarry if you go out all year round there will be no chance for the population to recuperate resulting in numbers dropping and not so good sport each year. w.h Quote Link to post

mikeyboy 7
i usually start around october and finish around march time. if the farmer or landowner insists though i will do a bit in between. you have got to let the quarry breed and have time or you will just mess your sport up for tyhe future atb mike Quote Link to post

webby 31
start in the middle of september through to the beginning of march unless there is a pest control job to do and in the case of a vixen, the cubs would be found before despatching the vixen.
