Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I am leaving secondary school in less than a year, and was wondering if i take this course can i go on to be a Gamekeeper straight away or is there another course i have to do (I know I will have to spend some time as an underkeeper first).

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers Kayne

alright mate you helped me so i will help you. you would be able to go straight into a job it would be as a beat keeper or underkeeper and then after doing this for a few years you could apply for a headkeepers job. if you want to that is , alot of people are satisfied to be beat or underkeeper. as it is the same job without so much pressure and organising.

ps you might be thinking how can someone who is asking for advice on a similar subject be tellin me about it. but i worked as an underkeeper for a year and have seen the process of interviews and applicants many a time as my dad is a headkeeper and has been involved in many interviews. you may want to get a bit of experience though maybe beating or voluntary work??
