k9delboy 138
These are Fife Hounds from Ceres in Fife. They are all Foxhounds, Mainly old English with a few Welsh crosses in amongst them. We have around 35 couple in kennels at the minute. They go out every morning and do approx 10 miles per day from 1st May untill 1st August with us two on bikes. Then the horses come out each morning from 1st August and the exercise is upped to approx 3hours daily to get hounds and horses superfit before hunting starts in September. The terriers sometimes tag along as well and this hardens them up for the season ahead. I am the fatty at the back and weighed in at 17 stone 10 on 1st May. I have only lost 6lbs since but like to think that muscle weighs more than fat LOL. Some of these hounds are capable of running 100 miles non stop on a single days hunting if required. They can trot along like a wolf does and can carry on for a long period of time. And NO i don't have any pictures of me falling off. My whip caught in the front wheel on Sunday and i went arse over tit over the handlebars. I am still off work as i have cracked ribs. NO it is not funny, Del. P.S. Here is a couple of pics of our hounds up north.
