beddlington/greyhound 50
Hi All, just thought i would post some pics of my new terrier 7 months old. i picked this little fella up from a chap on this site. me and a mate travelled to wales 3 weeks ago to look at this pup when we arrived the chap showed us the dog and i was very impressed with what i saw. the chap said he had done nothing with him yet and the pup was very timid. since then the pup has come along way and very quick.very pleased. 1st week took the pup out with my 2 lurchers and my mates lurcher and spaniel to the local fields doing abit of bushing pup didnt really show no signs of interest. 2nd weeks got the pup just showing signs of sticking his head in a few bushes going through wired fences following the spaniel. 3rd week again abit of bushing one night this week lurchers and spaniel caught a few rabbits so we teased and let the pup have ago on them that got him going abit.last couple of days we come across a few run throughs and burrows pup was sticking his head down the holes in out in out the suddenly hes gone down he went we could here him down the sniffing aroung digging adventually he come out after 5mins of course then he kept going back wanting to go down again. last 2 nights he has been going to ground without no hesitation and tonight bolted a rabbit from the bushes. must say i am very pleased as i have had a few terriers and they have never come on like this one i know all this has happened in the course of 3 weeks it may sound like bollocks but its true i aint seen nothing like it.i aint seen a pup come on so quick. its all happening to quick i hope i have finally found my terrier and looking foward to doing some digging hopefully. what do you all think. Guest busterdog
Do your self a favor mate and put that pup back on his lead !! If I've got it right he's only eight months old and he shouldn't be running earths yet, what if he bumps into Charlie ? If you are going to run a young dog through earths then check that they are empty with a guaranteed worker first. You will only kick your self when your pup is ruined and you have to start all over again. Quote Link to post

Foxes will easily fit into a rabbit warren, a fox will get in much tighter holes than your pup, listen to busterdogs advice mate or your dog could get ruined................. Quote Link to post
