Wild_and_Irish 11
Lifted him last night he's settling in well, thanks to bosco for putting me in touch with the man who sold him to me. Edited to say: He's eating like a horse at the minute, what age will I need to start adjusting his diet to keep him from becoming overweight? Edited June 14, 2009 by Wild_and_Irish Quote Link to post

mally 832
I wouldn't worry about the pup getting over weight mate, just feed him what he'll eat. It's always best to keep a bit of weight on pups until there 7-8 months old. That way you know there getting all they need. Thats how how rear pups anyway mate and i've never had a problem. lurcher lass 9
as said above as long as the dog is on a complete diet with all nutrients the dog will be fine, my bitch pup is eating more then my adult bitch but you wouldn't know that to look at her! with all their growing and brain power used while training etc they will reguire a lot of feed until he stops growing as much best of luck with the pup mate Quote Link to post
zigzag dan 784
throw as much food at him as poss until hes 12mth - you can drop his weight down in days Quote Link to post
Bootsha 1,306
Let him have as much food as he wants, good quality food, once his growing starts he'll lose it, his puppy fat, hence the expression. But good quality food and plenty will give him good timber to build on, a dog with poor timber under him is a dog that'll get injured a lot more than those who have good timber. Good luck, and a belting pup as well. ATB WAB Quote Link to post
