paddy.t 5
Managed to get my own permission today that I can go to as and when i like instead of getting lifts to linconshire. Went up to see farmer, spoke to his wife who jumped at the idea of me shooting rats around yard and in grain sheds. Went back at milking time had a word with farmer and he was sound, told me where they all run and what not. Also got over 100 acres of pasture to shoot plenty of bunny's about. And i can lamp up there so cant get any better really. I offerd to help out around farm just to show i was keen and all sorted:D:D:D Paddy Quote Link to post

Phantom 631
Cool, I got my first yesterday Not very big just a few hundered yards of Pony Paddock, but there are a fair number of bunnies on it that I can take. Horse owner wants me to deal with the Corvids as he saw one attack one of his Shetlands. Went up there this afternoon found a bunnie with half its side missing? Dead obviously! Put it out in a good spot, slit its belly to drop its innards as bait. Corvids a plenty flying around but none landed. Maggies as well, one on a lamp post out of the field eyeing it up but wouldn't come close Had one Bunnie just sitting there tormenting me! Dare not risk taking the shot as it was very close to me (and given that it was smaller and closer than my 1st Bunny Kill which had an exit wound) and it had a horse behind it, I figured if I missed (Unlikely) or the pellet went through it(very likely), it was a risk to the horse! May go up with the Tesco Torch on the rifle for some Bunnies later. Phantom Quote Link to post

Phantom 631
I have heard a lot about the Tesco Torches all of which has been very good so figured I'd get one and try it. I dont know if I got the correct model as I was told it has the word "CRE" on the packaging. The one that I got doesn't but hellfire its bright and has a massive throw of light on it Lights up the chimney stack of a house a good 50 or more yards away from me. Theres a guy around somewhere who mods the torches so the switch can be fastened to the stock of the rifle. And it sits nicely in an old laser holder under the barrel of my rifle For less than £8.00 Im very pleased with it. Oh yes, its metal and is totally waterproof Phantom Quote Link to post

Now Just gotta get the filter Oh at the moment I have mine hung under the barrel, using el'cheapo (from same set) scope to laser adapter. I will buy another adaptor so I can mount it ontop or at side of my scope. Phantom Quote Link to post

Get 4 1" pipe clips from B&Q and glue them together back to back paint them black and after a bit of filing about you have a nice clip on light. for about 50p ATB Michael Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
Hi Michael, At the moment, It'll be cheaper to buy the mount for me. Transport to my nearest BnQ will cost me a fortune. Oh hang on my Brother in law works at BnQ!! I'll give him a ring! Thanks mate Phantom Quote Link to post
