skycat 6,173
Moonshine is still available as sadly the potential home wasn't quite right for her. She is a very sensitive bitch and needs to go somewhere where any other dogs in the household won't have issues with her arrival. Could the people that pmed me before about her please get in touch again as I've wiped the pms prematurely Edited June 17, 2009 by skycat
braders46 0
I have had to make a few life changing decisions in my time, but none as hard as this. Due to ongoing health problems I'm having to cut down the number of dogs I keep, so the following are looking for new homes. Good permanent homes are the main priority here Firstly my GSD cross bitch, now 2 1/2 years old aprox. 26", 30kilos, very fast, agile and moves like a giant fox through cover. Very intelligent, biddable, retrieves to hand. Lamps very well, ferrets very well. Very good nose and hunter: excels on open rough ground such as set aside etc. Easy to live with in kennel or house. Godd with other dogs people etc. Has been out beating a couple of times too and very steady: keeps to the beating line well. Why her? Ultra submissive and biddable but loses the plot a bit when pack hunting: best worked on her own (like many lurchers really) and she will really shine in a one on one situation and develop more skills either on her own or with one other dog. Works well with terriers bushing but to date has only had rabbits a tracked a couple of muntjak. attachment=83826:1_mog_listening.jpg] Secondly: one of the pups I bred last year. Her photos has come up at the top of the post as I don't know how to put it in the right place. Only 5 months old in the pic: darker mask than other one. She is more intelligent than the one I'm keeping, and the reason I've picked her to go is that she is more people orientated and will handle the change of home better, whereas the one I'm keeping has thrown more to the Saluki suspicious temperament and is slightly nervous of strangers. Moonshine will make 26", is 10 months old and is lurcher to lurcher for God knows how many years. There is Deerhound in there and also the Merlin Eve lines on her sire's side. AGain, very biddable, easy to train, good on lead, recall, sit down stay etc. REtreived a couple of dead rabbits no problem but will take a long time to mature physically. She should ferret and lamp well and generally do the business all round. Hunts steadily and sensibly. Lives in or out, sociable and easy to get on with. Photo at top of post as I don't know how to to put it in the right place and only 5 months old at the time: will try and get another pic up soon. I'm asking £100 each for these dogs simply to ensure that any numpties who are looking for a freebie don't get them. Homes will be vetted, and you will be questioned on your reasons for wanting them: as I said, I don't part with dogs easily and these are both much loved members of the family as well as working dogs. PM me if you want more details about the dogs. And please no sarky comments: this decision is hard enough as it is: if you don't understand about illness then don't comment. Edited to add: sorry, location in Cambridgeshire wer aboutce r u
