top terrierman 90
I would like to try and organise a meeting some where in ireland that would be centred so we would all be kinda traveling the same distance.i was looking through old posts on this site from all over ireland THE AMOUNT OF WORKING DOGS THAT GO MISSING AND NEVER TURN UP AGAIN.i would like to get opinions from diffrent lads on what is happening to these dogs and where they are going and get the names of lads who you all think are stealing these dogs and the c**ts wo are buying them.their is a tiet cricle of lads that are at this if things keep going the way they are the working dog will be f****d.i have had my dogs taken THIS IS NOT ABOUT MY DOGS THIS MEETING WILL BE FOR THE BENIFIT OF ALL THE LADS THAT HAVE HAD DOGS STOLEN.and never heard anything back. i could be wasteing my time tell me if i am but for f**k sake lads someting has to be done soon. i would like to know what you all think it would be good to get some feedback from you all. Good idea TT, im lucky so far never had any dogs taken but id go any way to see if i can help.I suppose Athlone or Tullamore would be central for everyone. I think we need to screen people going to meeting in case a b*****d thief or anti fakes entry. Hows about you must bring photos of a dig with your dogs and you must be okayed by two members on this site? Quote Link to post
smasher 1,055
Idont think you will get to many lads traveling for such a meeting, however the birr gamefair is comming up,just outside tullamore, which is central and draws dog men from all over ireland, that might be the place to arrange to meet and chat to people,on the flip side their will also be plenty of dog theives and chancers there not to mention antis, and ill bet a pound to a penny the people who were involved in the taking of your dogs will be there without you even knowing it, linning up their next victim Quote Link to post
irishfoxhunter 64
id say u are spot on smasher. its sickening to see how many terriers get robbed. i wonder what would happen if we all posted up the names and numbers of the dog dealers we know . not accusing anybody , not pointing the finger. but every body knows at least one of these dealers , where there are dogs for sale week in week out. if we pm the info to tt is that ok? if we put it up here would it close them down? westwicklow 4
Every day we hear of stolen dogs, on the radio, internet, word of mouth and we all know it's prolific but where do sooooooo many robbed dogs end up? This appears to be well organised. Somebody must know what's going on.....is there a market out there for stolen dogs that has lead to it being so prolific and such a total scurge? Quote Link to post
lampinlarry 0
i wouldnt say there is a market for stloen dogs mate just people getting them of dealers and what not!! Quote Link to post
folly terrier foot 1
good idea tt Quote Link to post
jigsaw 11,886
as much as id like to say yeah,it wouldnt work tt,you'd have a lot of undesirables from both camps attend i reckon, antis and thieving scum. Quote Link to post
kirstysdad 827
maybe a small stall at the show would work with pics of dogs that have been stolen and any one who has had dogs taken can add pics as well my own feeling about these thefts is they are being taken by antis as none seem to end up back on the hunting scene and as some one else has said its a small circle and most people know each other or know people from other parts of the country and still none of these dogs have turned up all the best in getting your dogs back tt Quote Link to post
dehoffmeister 2
i agree with TT something has to be done im with you bud Quote Link to post
aaron01 737
somthing needs to be done Quote Link to post
westwicklow 4
its not antis. these dogs are going across the water imo. if they stayed in ireland they'd turn up again. if antis were taking them they'd claim it, just like the ALF claim successfull attacks on hunts and animal labs. no its defo a money making racket by scumbags, imo travellers selling to their cousins in england who pass them on to dog dealers. Yep.... I agree! Quote Link to post
