FOXHUNTER 5,021
I took Ratcherman out last night on a piece of my ground to try for a buck. After climbing the very steep hill we eventually reached the top after about 1/2 an hour. The view is outstanding ...................... We continued to stalk around the edge of the forestry until I spied a young buck feeding out on the open hill in the evening sunshine. We manouvered around a small group of rocks and got in position. The buck was content feeding and had no idea of our presence . After watching him for a few minutes eventually his time was up and Ratcherman dispatched him cleanly. The spiker buck was in very poor condition , winter pelage still and very thin and gaunt. In fact there was no meat at all on its saddle , I am surprised it lasted the winter to tell you the truth. No pic of this poor specimen as the batteries failed on the camera. A nice evening to be out in such beautiful surroundings Quote Link to post

Hi nice area mark looks like it would hold a few deer. As for views you know iv seen some great views from some of our Angus Glens but there all unique in there own way trees or no trees beats sitting about the house . I do agree a bit with wireviz as to the trees but wouldent say it was s**t still nice in its own way. Quote Link to post
