Fascinating subject pal and a shame no ones answered you.

 

I said in an earlier thread , that i saw a bloke do it on tv years ago.

 

He was with good old Tony Soper (a GENUINE tv naturalist) imho.

 

The bloke had 5 or 6 hares come to him around a land rover.

 

I think it might have been "kenzie" but not sure.

i have done this whilst trying to squek a charlie in i had 3 hares all come at once, and it was late febuary so wonder if its something to do with breeding ;)

 

 

 

Yes, as i understand it, it can only be done at certain times of the year.

when i seen it on the dvd he called about 8 in and they was comeing in from fields away.he tells u how to do it but i can not do it lol

its easier in the summer the squeeking mimicks the leverets in distress

 

and the older ones come to investigate ;)

that makes sense to me riohog but i was doing it in febuary and not many leverets about that time of year i also had them come from a couple of fields away ;)

you can do it any time pal i always found it earier when the days are long ;)

same as you would for charlie you can pull them out of crops onto grassland ;)
