eating the catch

my 7 month old jrt has started to eat baby rabbits the lurcher has caught it will also eat dead game it finds when out even things that look a couple days old has anybody else had this trouble

its just pups they grow out of it.

What are you feeding it? and when did you last worm it?

i dont think its that uncommon mate,my mate let his dogs have a run round garden the other morning while he was getting redy and he looked out the window to see that his bitch had got a pigeon that he had shot off the top of the bin and eaten the lot,everything just a few feathers and a foot!! :blink: rang vets and they said just keep an eye on her and shes been fine,but his other dog wouldnt dream of it and neither would any of mine.

i wouldnt say its a problem ,at the end of the day they are dogs ,they are not human and dont care were there next meal comes from ,my black bitch will start on a red un while we are back filling ,she strips fur offthe back end then pulls the meat like cheesey strings ,she love,s them :clapper:

she was wormed 4 wks ago and she is fed dry complete food with minced beef and sometimes chicken .what i am bothered about is when the cover dies down and i start her on the rats if the farmer has been putting piosen down and she eats a rat thats had poisen it will poisen her .
