border lad 1,047
Seeing THAT picture of a certain dog in front of a rake of rabbits (in another thread) Reminded me of the controversy it caused in the "shooting news" back then. So what do people think now ? Is it possible for one dog to take 100 or more rabbits in one night. ? Bearing in mind, the rabbits have to be carried off the ground etc, i still doubt it. What do you think ? Hundred in a night with a gun you,ve had a f*****g good night ,hundred with a dog you,ve had a good nights dreaming i would like to see it....How many people on here know of a dog to achieve that... hundred percent fact....anyone....rocking horse shit springs to mind...cheers......... thank you at last there is a few sane people who understand what this figure means, Mr, CHARTPOLSKI, AND COMPANY PLEASE READ and only the true dog men understand the damage you would do to your dog, (((( the old saying with a young dog keep him sweet do not sour him for he may never work again, and that is for all working dogs, Quote Link to post

SMOGGY 34
I haven't got anywhere near 100 with my dogs, and never will , But on the darkest, wettest, windiest of nights, on land where rabbits aren't lamp shy, and the lamper has good field craft, squatter can be available in huge numbers, a very good dog could have a huge bag without breaking into a sweat. It's a lot of if,buts and maybes, But i'm sure it has and can be done regards smoggy Quote Link to post

doxhope 2
OOPS, I have just looked at my original post on this thread and it can easily be read the wrong way!! The night in question there were two dogs running, My Bob and Mr Raford's Becky. I dread to think what kind of condition a dog might find itself in after running and catching that many bunnies; taking into account the dog must miss some!! Sorry if any one read my post the wrong way. Regards warren Hey matie, is that Mick Radfords Becky? Quote Link to post

You choose to not believe my answer, thats your perogative. What I said was 100% true, you call it utter nonsense. I was there, you were not. It wasn't my dog, I have no need to lie about it. I have advocated nothing, only related something which happened over 30 year ago. And please, drop the "Mr"; Chartpolski or C.P. will do. Cheers. Quote Link to post
