Motorbike batterys!!!! brings back memorys of how many combat and wax jackets I lost to acid burns :D

the first I saw was around 1970 the Late Danny Brennan, a good mate of mine Irishman lived in Carlisle, he had a 12volt car battery out of the ford anglia, He did nt drive himself, made a chest harness from seat belts (((( kangol)) the lads there made it up for him, and he could walk at least 12 to 14 miles with this battery, lamp, bag, and a good dog called Spyder, he bred himself, colliegrey lamped till the battery went down come home with the bag full of rabbits, now that was dedication, for you. and to work the same morning,

Over 100 rabbits taken in one night by one dog; mid '70's, Stirling;

Scan0001-2-1.jpg

Cheers.

well this pic brings back memories,i went with tp many times to his permission up in stirling we used to stay in his old caravan which was left up there permantly and the place was alive with rabbits 30 40 rabbits were the norm for one dog to take in a night the next day we would ferret and wouldnt leave untill we had 100,it was a £1 a rabbit back then and thats how tp earned his money,the best dogs then were a bitch called jess,a colliegreyhound bitch and onto the dog in the pic unless the man mentioned had another dog called gypsey that dog was a parcell it didnt carry back crunched its rabbits couldnt kill a hare and it jibbed on charlie,i have seen the pics with 130 rabbits on the gate or fence with the fox aswell,the fox was a road kill and most of the rabbits were shot,this aint a dig its just i couldnt sit back when i know the truth about the dog,atb roady
