After 3 weeks, don't be shy. Handle your Jill as You would normally, and if your unsure, put her in your carry box. THEN handle the Kits. After a week or so she should relax a bit, BUT gauge it yourself. hope this helps.atb Sam Ya, my Jill was having trouble getting the first kit out and let me help her get the kit out the sack as it came out and has been fine with me handling them from day one, but I do give her space with them and I have had a Jill who went mad if you came anywhere near the cage. So it all depends on how each ferret behaves and if you spend a lot of time with them then I find they are comfortable with you handling the young early.. Quote Link to post
