TEACHING LURCHERS TO JUMP

CAN ANY ONE TELL ME WHEN TRYING TO GET A DOG TO JUMP GATES AND FENCES DOES IT COME NATURAL OR HAVE THEY GOT TO BE TOUGHT WHAT TO DO OR ALL DOGS DIFFERENT,CAN ANYONE HELP???

put the dog over the fence and walk off mate it works evertime for me. if not start on small fances and work your way up. tom!!

dont start on barbed wire niether mate,sheep netting and walls i start off with then go on to wire

yes i would say jsut walk away and leave it works for me also i bring my other dogs that can jumo and very well usual helps too

if it a pup i put borad at the gate of the run were it got to come out once it start jumping that i just keep makeing high that works for me mate

 

 

That's the best and easiest way to get a pup to jump.

I take my pup over to the park in the morning when there is nobody around to distract her, Close both gates on the play area and throw her ball into the play area

 

Then she gets her ball and has to jump back over. I do this 3/4 times a morning just to keep her confidence up
