Personally, I'd go M62 onto M56 at Warrington, then join the A483 at Chester then carry on the A483 all the way to Llandeilo. May add a few minutes on to your drive, but its a far nicer drive! Just keep on the A483 not merge onto the A470 or you'll end up in Brecon which is about 60 miles out of your way. If you want to cut time off your journey further, I take a shortcut when going up north. When coming down the A483 heading into Llandrindod Wells, you'll see a sign for Beulah, take that B road (4358) and when you come to a pub called "The Trout" you'll join back with the A483 all the way to Llandeilo. If you go that way, the A38 runs out in Birmingham? You need to go Birmingham, Leominster, Hay on Wye, Brecon, A40 to Llandovery then on A483 to Llandeilo.
