i have 2 major crow flight lines over some of my permision and i want to shoot some of these crows with the shotgun, would a magnet bring them withinn range? if not what would be the best way?
they should mate with a crow call it will for sure, or a standing or sitting stuffed fox works a dream let us know if the magnet wort a mate just got one have not tryed it out yet

as sounder said ive used a fox skin (with muzzle) put onto a chicken wire frame to look like a standing fox, over a real crow on a motorised flapper. they dive at the fox so hard they wont even notice you in the hide. ive shot some great bags this way. pisses them off no end.

unfortunatuly the flight line had changed and they were flighting along outside of my permision, but i set up anyway. i stared with my single crow decoy and got a couple of rooks to come and look at it, started with left and right. got them setup on the magnet. they started to come much better then, i shot 2 left and rights at carrion crows. also shot bout 20 rooks and a few woodies that happened to fly by. the magnet does definatly help, but my problem is why the crows are flying over, pigs. the can either choose to go to the pigs or a couple of crows flying in cirlcles, i often lost to the pigs. teh magnet does difinatly help as it adds movement. sorry, no pics though.

With Brno 17 on this one put one or 2 flappers out on 8mm spring steel rods about 6ft they float and flap over the stuffed fox and the first crow that is shot is put in the jaws of the fox with broken wings hanging down so that the wind moves them. works a treat :clapper::clapper: I got my fox stuffed from fleabay for about 12 quid worth every penny!! I have never tried a rotary for crows and if I did I think it would have to be very slow and the caller blowing short fast blasts, also try not to blow through the caller rather try to clear the throat this makes the call deeper and more realistic 807 crows thought so last year.

keep at it a dead crow is a good crow.
