Wanna be farmer 0 Posted June 10, 2009 Report Share Posted June 10, 2009 I have been offered the opportunity to do a DoE award but i realy just can not be assed with it. I know that is not the attitude to have but i realy can not be bothered. It realy depends on what your ambition is. I am going to go to medical school and study a Medical Doctors degree, but i am going to do a year of voluntary work instead of doing a scheme like DoE. A DoE award would improve me CV, but i am not going to bother with it. I enjoy having my free time to socialize with friends and to go out hunting. ross16689 1 Posted June 10, 2009 Report Share Posted June 10, 2009 I did my d of e through my cadet force- great fun, it counts as your service and residential, so instead of spending every weekend in a charity shop and a week in a depressing hospice we got to go on army ranges with SA80s, GPMGs, parker hale m80s, do blank firing exercises, night ambushes, and spend the rest of the time doing adventure training! great fun and definetly worth a go!
