andy s410c 61
Well, decided to head up to the top quarry today as the N/E breeze would have made anywhere else on the shoot pointless .Arrived for 2pm but the grey sky & strengthening breeze did,nt look good.Got meself set up but did'nt feel confident...headed for me normal sniping spot through the lot taller stinging nettles manged to miss one on the way :headshot:: but did bag one sitting in a clump of nettles before i settled into the tree line. Nothing on the quarry wall or corner so i waited for a while cursing the wind to my left a rabbit edged out of the nettle jungle no more than 5yds away...took aim...missed :stupid: i was really pissed off now .I headed off into the wood, fuming with meself but the undergrowth was too high & the small rabbits just snook away.So back to sniping spot, nothing showed after a hour or so...off for a mooch along the quarry wall as the wind was easing off now & again, after a couple of hours i bagged 3.Again just too many squeakers & not enough sizeable rabbits to be had but i don,t think the wind helped today... The gun used today was the most accurate airgun in the world apart from the numpty using it... Quote Link to post
