Squirrel_Basher 17,100
I take it your uncle isnt a dog man mate as there are plenty of fox killers within all breeds .Forget preban to mate as there isnt one . Quote Link to post
Guest fence_hopper
yer mate a very good one at that had alot of good dogs even had russels but he never rated them but he would never own sh*te. im after a different point of view from people that may of owned ones that did the job required of them. im not wanting an arguement im only wanting to see if he's wrong see if anyone can make me see a different light, as i'm open minded when it comes to dogs and would like to see some russels that have proved this. im not saying russels are no good Quote Link to post

westwicklow 4
JRT have made great foxers, great digger dogs but they have recently become lap dogs. As a lad in the 70's, I recall my Dad having over 40 JRT's at one stage, and developed a strong line of eager hunters, working as a pack or an individual on badgers as well as foxes. Very agile underground, fearless and relentless agression, but easy to handle/maintain. However, they did tend to get grumpy with age. Quote Link to post

foxfan 479
Funny that ive been told several times that a dog cant kill foxs to ground, yet my eldest has done it twice.was told i must be telling lies...but then again the guy owns a black dog Brian nuttal said to me "when you get a good jack russel, they're better than any of these black uns, its just that you dont know what you're getting when you breed" I took it that he was talking about the percentage of workers in a litter. Anyway i thought it was quite something for him to say. By the way i keep black dogs. Quote Link to post
