My mate wanted to try his new .308 out,so I suggested a look out for an early morning buck..............

As we were walking up the edge of a wood a buck & doe appeared in the field heading straight towards us,so my mate dropped the buck but the doe would not leave its side.............I walked straight up to her and she just looked at me and ran a few circles around me.........

Then I tried my luck on a new spot...............spied a young buck in some really thick scrub land and managed to take him..................not in very good condition, covered in lice and ticks, better off being culled!! :good:

Not a bad start to the buck season.......hope it continues!!
