MR TEA POT 1,287
Went up to RHODEYS to snare a grass field on what must have been the hottest day of the year.A few rabbits ran of the field has we arrived,so i thought we would be in for a good catch. So set the snares and off home for a bite to eat before we went out with the airifles after a few rats. A FEW PICS OF THE GROUND WE SNARED. We went back just as it was getting dark and had 3 in the snares RABBIT IN PEG SNARE Went home ready for the morning,as we pulled in to the farm the next morning i said to RHODEY "theres a cat in the grass field" as i got closer it was a black and white rabbit . He did say there was a couple of coloured rabbits about that the owner had in a big run with the chickens and when he got rid of the chickens he let the rabbits out.Of course i thought the lad had been drinking or taking drugs and did not belive a word of it,sorry RHODEY . Well we checked all the snares and nothing not even any knocked,so we was a bit dishearted,it was at this point RHODEY said "theres a rabbit up at the far hedge,it might be in a snare we had just checked,so i went half way across the field in the blistering heat only to find a lump of soil, that from a distance did look like a rabbit(i blame the heat)RHODEY found it all very funny . RHODEY DISHEARTED OR SUFFERING FROM THE HEAT. I said come on lets go and have a go at some rats.So we gets up to the calf pens and RHODEY shot 1 stright away with my AAS410 that was it i couldn't get my rifle back he fell in love with it .As we was waiting for the rats i noticed that they was coming from under the calf pens and running along a back wall,so i had a plan,we fetched the bodygrips from the max powered big bore loud steroed low rider(RHODEYS POLO) . I said heres my plan to RHODEY we set the traps againest the back wall and they bash the pens to make them rush from one side to the other, and it worked well we had 6 rats in half a hour.RHodey saw a rat hit the trap and got very excited i had to calm him down, jumping all over the place and shouting "we got 1,did you see that,MR TEAPOT your the man" it got embarassing . A few photos of the rats. THE FIRST ONE CAUGHT,WHERE RHODEY GOT OVER EXICTED A FEW MORE IN THE TRAPS. END OF DAY SHOT. This one i am holding was huge.We had finished bashing the pens, when i heard a trap ping i turned round to see this one had lept up in the air inches from me ,so i shat my pants dropped my pipe, throw the gloves off, shot out the door and stood there shaking for about 10 mins, to RHODEYS delight,he couldn't stop laughing. . All in all a nice weekend thanks again RHODEY for the invite really enjoyed it. Sorry about the long post i got carried away Edited June 3, 2009 by MR TEA POT Quote Link to post
