whippeter69 88
Just go back from the first time I have been out on my own with my shotgun on my SGC lol. It was great fun, I took my terrier amber, who is a great flusher and packed my game bag with a few 20bore no.5's and a box and a half of 7.5's also in my bag were my SGC, BASC book let and my written permission off the land owner. Mother dropped me off at the bottom of the lane and i walked with my game bag, shotgun(which was in the case) and my little busher, Amber. We arrived at the farm and i dropped my shotgun case on the gate, the farmer tells me don't bother asking to go shooting, just come anytime, so i always leave my gun case on the gate to let him know I'm shooting. We walked up to the gorse bushes and tall oak trees and proceeded to scare off the pigeons out of range, so me and Amb walked around to see if i could get a flush for the gun, but to no anvil, there was nothing. We walked along the fence line, Amber and me each side, we can across a fox hole that had obviously been used, then i herd a rustling from the small tree above, but as soon as I so what it was it had gone with no chance of me lifting the gun, it was a grey squirrel. I waited for some movement to give me an idea where it was, Amb and me look at each other and she look as if "well shoot it then" but I could not see it. I opened the gun and picked up a rock, under armed it up into the tree and closed the 20 Bore and lifted the gun to se the devil jumping from a branch, i flicked the safety off and pulled the trigger. I immediately knew i had shot it and opened the gun, first a branch fell, probably because the squirrel was only 7 yards up the tree, and no sign of the squirrel. Then it fell, i walked over to insect it and found then the projectile had completely ripped him open, but he was defiantly dead. It was one of the best evenings I had had. I hoped you enjoyed my post Quote Link to post

There is no age limit on owning an SGC, there are upper limits as to what age you can use, possess and buy guns and ammunition. Have a look at the Pinned Topics on the front page of this section.
