Guest Scuba1
In a nutshell its not on. It would be classed as armed trespass and you will get nicked for it big style. No permission, no shooting. ATB Michael Quote Link to post

Guest Scuba1
i was going to ask this lol thanks for asking , what would your oppinion be if the land owner cought you ???? If he calls the cops, you could just find yourself looking down the wrong end of some heckler & koch guns from the armed response unit of your area. I don't think that the farmer would walk up to a bloke with a gun in his hands....... you know its an air gun , he does not from a distance and shure as heck does not want to find out what it is by getting closer. So I would think he would call the folks in those colourful cars. ATB Michael Quote Link to post

Quickly wrap yourself in aluminium kitchen foil and then in camo tape. That way they cant see you and you have a chance that the IR camera will not pick you up for a little while either. When everything has gone quiet, unwrap yourself and leg it :) ATB Michael Quote Link to post
ghillies 209
hmmmm think the only place that applies is on a designated 'range' area.. not rifle range but its like a land thats literaly classed as a 'range', but even then theres rules etc.. coman land you have to be a resident within the secter that allows you to graze sheep etc, i think then the general vote has the last say or something. RaiderBoy 19
what dose the law say about shooting air rifles on common land like old railway lines and wood land thats around sports field that are well out of the way atb adam well ive asked this before but nobody replied so i asked the local community police officer and believe it or not he said that he doesent really mind me shooting on the land as long as the gun was in a case until i got a safe distance into the forrest and that he never saw me with the gun out of its case and that it kept me from causing trouble. the land is out of the way and it was kind of abandoned by the forrestry commision because most of the trees are stunted fallen over or damaged so there are no forrestry commision people on the land.i dont go there often and i have never been caught but i just dont want to take the risk anymore.
