MDC 0
Nuttall Gould Booth Parks Wheeler Harcombe Glyn Jones etc, I’ve heard of all these lines, but is there any one line that is known for throwing larger dogs? I’m from a bull breed background and know there’s different lines that will throw consistently smaller or larger, bullier or leaner type animals, does this apply with the pats too? Whats the best line for creating the leggier stronger built type of Pat? I’ve a mate with a Choc Harcombe bred dog, stunning dog, but twice the size of my other mates Gould bred dog, the Gould would be around 11†tts and whereas the Harcombe is like 16†and a much more athletic look about him. Sorry if this is a newb question, but I’m willing to learn as much as poss about the Pats before getting one, like I said I used to be into the bull breeds for years, but want something a little less hassle with PC Plod and all the do gooders about. CO CHISE 329
just wanted to add to MDC thread... as a newby to working terriers myself, ive been taken by these little black un's if you lads were starting out again from scratch, but knowing what you know, what line would choose?????? read so much negative about this line and that line not been what it was..... so lets just keep it to the line you'd choose and why!! just wanting to find out more from those that know before getting one mysef... thanks heres my 2 pence worth, as long as it works to your standards it doesnt realy matter about the big names, ive seen afew of those lines work and some have been very good workers but aswell as the odd failures but was they the real McCoy ?, ide do abit of home work first to make sure the dog your getting suits you, we can go on slagging the names but most times when buying a dog with one of these names behind them probably have as much as a toe nail in them, ive had dogs from 2 of those names from the men them selfs and 1 was a w****r but it happens in all breeds and the other is what i like and want, as long as its worker to worker you should be ok if the man your getting it of is right with you and just not after your money, atb Quote Link to post
