FOXHUNTER 5,021
I was out again this morning at 4am and what a beautiful morning it was , the sun was shining and it was nice and calm. I bumped into a fox straight away , got my rifle on my sticks and was about to shoot when it turned and disappeared into cover I then crossed a little burn and peered over the fence into the adjoining field and spotted a deer behind the far hedge. On inspection with the bins I confirmed it was a buck but it was lame on its back leg . This is the wound which was swollen ............... I duly dispatched the buck and when I inspected the carcasse it was thin and gaunt .......... A good cull beast if ever there was one ........... On my way round I spied another 2 does and witnessed a vixen carrying a rabbit back to her cubs , they are there for another day !! Quote Link to post

Yokel Matt 918
A good buck to take. Poor bugger probably caught it on the top of a barbed wire fence. No doubt those fox's will be a bit more cooperative next time Quote Link to post
