IanB 0
This post is getting stupid, its a small trap, compress the spring with your hand, if you want put the safety catch on...... then using the trap jaws compress the spring fully and flip the trigger/dog over.. thats it... Get your dad a 120 and see how he copes... Quote Link to post

Matt 160
That trap looks damaged in the last picture. It could be that it is bent in such a way as to prevent it opening properly. Send it back to the retailer. You should be able to set a 116 with your hands. Edited June 5, 2009 by Matt the Rat Quote Link to post
MR TEA POT 1,287
and its only a 116 so you should be fine Never caught your finger with one then Quote Link to post
micky 3,325
With a trap setter you can set , or unset, twenty traps in a couple of minutes, i suspect anyone trying to do this by hand would be blowing grapes out there arse by number ten  Quote Link to post
Holdaway 2
I may have the solution... If the dog (the thing with the half circles cut out) has caught one of the jaws, you will not open it with a bulldozer. Make sure the trigger wires and the dog are in the center of the trap before trying to prize the jaws apart. Just a thought. H Quote Link to post
