-HuntingLass- 0
Iv got a 5 year old labrador that I part own and his father is a top working dog up in the field this way and his mother is a show dog. Chewy enjoys sniffing out rabbits and retrieving but he is not a very confident dog, he is very unsure of situations (due to a rough past) just wondering if anyone had any tips to get him back on track? Just tips because iv never trained a dog to sniff out rabbits or retrive properly. This is more so for training me than him. Also Iv got a GSDxHusky that is animal movement mad. I literally got dragged half way through a field after a big deer. Never mind the amount of times he disapears after foxes or rabbits! Its a nightmare. Any suggestions on how to get him to chill a little? Its alright if chewy has sniffed it out and it bolts because I know he wont catch anything, he has caught one rabbit and its all gone to his head, but when we are in a field of people he just goes.... you can imagine the looks of horror on some poeples faces Is there anything i can do to snap him out of it? Any thoughts much appreciated, Leanne Edited June 1, 2009 by -HuntingLass-
