Is there anything I can do to keep my ferrets nice and cool becuase its getting too hot for them. There in the shade outside fresh water 3 times a day and cleaned out every 3 days. I just thought of those ice thing that you put in the freezer to keep food cool would that be ok for them and would it be ok in with the kits?? or what ells could I use????

Get 4 two litre plastic bottles 3/4 fill them and freeze them put a couple into the nest box and swap them for frozen ones every day you think it's hot

If youv'e got enough room in the nest box she can move them to it or away from it or try one in the other part of the hutch and see if she movesthe kitts to it

i spray mine with water,they really like it and sit there licking it off end of their noses,also got s bit of a smimming pool for them in garden but its no good for the jills with kits,thats not a bad idea with the jars of cold water thow,mite try that.atb

sadly fans dont cool ferrets dont at all.

ferrets dont sweat so fans wont work.

I find the frozen water bottles work the best.

Cheap and easy to do as well - i wrap mine in a pillow case before i put them in the hutch
