if you get a well bred, working stock patt. but most importantly, make sure it's kept busy working, you should have no problems, a good, working terrier usually won't fight with other dogs, terriers that want to fight other dogs, especially when on a lead are usually cowards, just my oppinion no offence meant.

How do you work that out?

do u mean if they attacked whilst of their leads they would still be a coward?

All depends on the way its brought up mate, ive only ever had 2 in all my years n had them from pups and they were grand with other dogs and people, but i have seen a few that are a bit tempered..

You say you got it at 12 months old, so see how he is over the next few weeks and lay down the law as soon as somethin kicks off..

All the best with your new pup mate..

better to get it from a pup mate then you bring it up to be how u want it. any problems like fighting can be nipped in the bud straight away. its easier to train than it is to re-train and break bad habits. any dog, WHATEVER its breeding can be taught that other dogs are not enemies and that they should not even attempt to start a fight

get them out toghter as much as possible keeping one leaded that might help let the lose one work then lead it then let the other one off try that then just extend the time left off i am not saying it will work but it might be worth a try make sure the other dog is good though
