is that a 'Gold Sattinett' hen bird there......

 

had a few of them last year as there supposed to be good as breeding birds.

now have a pair of Rollers, a Fife cock bird and a siskin mule.

ohh and not forgeting a Rosella that sings like a sqeakey wheelbarrow :D

THERE IS A THEORY THAT THINKS ..... RED EYED BIRDS WILL HAVE A BETTER CHANCE OF PRODUCING A CLEAR MULE ...IS THAT THE IDEA ? OR JUST A SITTING OF CANARYS ?

now, i dont know the in's and out's of this complex world of bird breeding genetics, but i have just bred her to a canary,...actually to her brother from the previous year..its just something to do to stop me going mad in the close season....in the past 2 seasons i have bred 3 "red-eyed" light coloured birds from out of the origional two birds.......i am breeding for good rearers first and foremost...
