WHAT WOULD YOU DO

hi while out walking the lurcher today came across a baby squirrel on the side of the road seemed ok went up to it expecting it to run off but no it just looked up at me my lurcher wanted it but instead i just nudged it in to the hedgerow with my foot do you think i should of destroyed it or would you of done the same or different cheers DM :icon_redface:

you sound like a sporting man. theres no point shooting fish in a barrel. but then theyre a pest too. its a tough one

Would have become an adult soon enough, personally if it was on the shoot land, I would have knocked it on the head somehow, but certainly wouldn't have picked it up!

 

Don't fancy Squirrels teeth in my hand.

youd have given it a name and cuddle dont lie :laugh:

if it couldnt run off then it must have been pretty much done for!

 

i would have ended it rather than leave it for the bogeyman (fox) to pick up!

Depends wether anyone was watching as squirrels are not a legal quarry if anyone is watching. Cheers, D.

FACT: GREY Squirrels are NOT Indigenous

FACT: Grey squirrels are vermin

FACT: Grey squirrels are ONE of the main reasons our indigenous Red squirrel is in decline

FACT: Any sportsman/woman with conservation in mind would have knocked it on the head (no disrespect intended DM)

FACT: Just my opinion :good:
