I had the same problem.. was both ends though... She just couldn't help it....!!

I was loaded up with kitchen roll.. wet wipes.. spray and carrier bags on every journey!! She was the worst I had ever known.

I used traveleeze travel sick tablets for long journeys..(over 45 mins) and these definitely helped  I would drive 10- 15 mins and stop.. let her out for some air and empty and go again... that was if she hadn't thrown up first !! She was crated.

She now sits in front on seat and appears to be much better.. whether that is due to growing out of it or seeing out of the window, I wouldn't like to say... but she was like it for well over a year.. :icon_eek:

More likely to be sick if they can see out of the window. The might grow out of it but some dogs are always sick my colliex springer was like that all her life and all we could do was make sure she hadnt eaten if we knew she had to travel and beleive it or not peppermint polos

just take them for short trips just around the block and slowly increase the distance that usually works ,plus associate the car trips with going for a walk ,mine would love to be in the car all the time i have to sneak out to work in the mornings

I have a terrier that used to be car sick, and now she good as gold, as long as she gets some air thought the window she fine. My mate has a lurcher pup that was car sick and now after just taking her out in the car ferreting and lamping, shes fine. My advice is keep taking them in the car , they will get better and remember to give them some air

Don't know if you bred or bought your pups? Remember though, most pups first car experience, is when some strange people arrive and drive off with them! Then they arrive at a strange house, with perhaps more strange people and dogs. You take them out again, and they get anxious, wondering where they will end up this time! When they realise that you take them out for good things, like walks and a bit of training, then back home, the confidence will come. There are though, some pups who really are car sick for a while, and the "sealegs" mentioned earlier do help, as does a couple of arrowroot biscuits. When we have a litter, once weaned, they get dinner in the back of the car sometimes, it's pleasurable. Next time start the motor and back down the drive, then return. Next time, round the block etc, just build it up slowly and car travel just becomes part of their life.
