Titch1980 0
Hi there i have 2 dogs a male jrt and a female jrt x dachsund, tonight the female attacked a neighbours cat, i dont know why as i have 4 cats myself, after talking to a few people they suggested either lending her out for hunting or rehoming her to a hunting home. this isnt the 1st time she has done it she did it with a feral cat a couple of years ago. this is my main aim of joining this forum and all help/advice will be recieved gratefully. Dawn B 212
I have 6 Cats, all my Terriers are fine with them, but anyone elses is fair game. You cannot expect any dog to greet other Cats with the same behaviour as the do yours. Unfortunatley there isnt much you can do, except warn your neighbours that if their Cats persist on entering your garden, the dogs will chase and may catch them. Using your dog for ratting wont help or make things any worse in my opinion, keep your dog as a pet if thats what you have her for, perhaps teach a few more obedience commands, and at the end of the day, accept what her heritage is.
