artic 595
Never been my cup of tea, also the land i run mine on would not suit a Bull X. However, there are some nice examples on here. Like any dog, patience, correct training, then you wont go far wrong. Please dont forget, the dog may or may not have it in him/her to work to a standard that is required from its owner. Link to post
johnbhoy 1
everyone has there own type of lurcher they want to use mate for different reasons i personaly prefer the bullx or wheatan cross because its what i prefer to use lamping fox or with the terrier just what i prefer what are they like to train atb john So in one post you state that bull crosses A) can't be trusted (bollocks) Don't put speed in a dog (daft comment) C) Aren't inteligent (stupid is as stupid does) and finally D) Likely to yap (another daft comment) You then follow this post asking "what are they like to train" a said they must be a pain in the arse to train< take it ur a bull man urself then Link to post
Strong Stuff 2,171
Personally I got one because I wanted a running dog that was similar in temperament to the type of dog I'm used to, I wanted one that was more capable than I needed, no point getting a little whippity type thing and finding it hiding everytime the lamp went on, and I wanted a dog that was less prone to breakage than the lighter type of running dog. So far so good, my dog is only 17 months but things are looking good. To the person who thinks the Bull in them makes them stupid, you're very wrong, just like me, they might look a bit thick but are quite capable really. Link to post

roadrunner 0
in my opinion every one to there own you get the dog what you the owner think is best for the job you want it to do.......... i do own two bull xs ...a 2 1/2 yr old 3/4 bred and a 7 mth old 1/2 bred both bitches ( i do beleave in the saying 1 mans rubish is another mans tresure ) eg if a man buys a 1/2 bred bull x to go rabbiting in my opinion and i think most will agree its not the best type and the same dog is sold to a digging man at 15 /16 mth old it might turn into the best dog the mans ever owned.......... like i said every one to there own Link to post

johnbhoy 1
most lurchermen a know are lurchermen, not bull men I reckon your on a wind up fella................ im not on the windup mate, before a started on this site a had only heard of one or two ppl with lurchers with a bit a bull in them. ave knew lurchermen for years and none of them have had them, ave been on this site for a week and all a see is bull this bull that. crossing a lurcher with a pitbull or staffy or anything in that categorie sounds absolute nonsense. what happened to the collie greyhound lurcher, the all rounder. bullgreyhound 0
what happened to the collie greyhound lurcher, the all rounder. Ermm ... they crossed bull with greyhound and noticed that Bull X's are the best working dogs going. ... (My opinion of course) But i dont think you can go wrong with a well bred 3/4 grey 1/4 bull Link to post
