Guest dances
everyone has different standards. I myself am only young and have only been hunting for 2 years so i am yet to reach a standard for anything as far as hunting is concerned Quote Link to post
Guest fence_hopper
i find the bitches should be around 12 to 18 months old seen a handfull of rabbits or non and will never be tested properly...thats the case my way anyway, and seen it quiet a few times on here to. alb al Quote Link to post

Hope that might help some of you ATB. Quote Link to post
lurchers 2,827
i will be breeding off my beddiexgreyhound bitch in 2-3yrs time this will be the 2nd litter of lurchers i would of bred in 30yrs and she is only here to fill the freezer for my hawks as im not to bothered about the big game as much.so she will be working with the ferrets and lamping and when i get a pup from her they will both be working together.ive never been into dogs for money as i have gave 3 pups away from here to friends but if its people i dont no they will be paying for them every body is different Quote Link to post
surrey lass 12
i have only bred 2 litters first one from a red lakeland bitch she was about four years old put to a 6 yr dog, she only had 2 pups and sadly they didn't survive, vet said it was put down to fading puppy syndrome she was then spayed, 2nd little was from my saluki/deerhound/greyhound 5yrs put to our own dog 8 yrs as we wanted 2 from the litter for our own use they both did what we wanted from them, she had 9 a few got really good homes but a couple of them were bought by idiots unknown to us at the time, that went on to be passed on, so from then on i vowed not to breed as you put so much into your dogs and puppies only to see some wasted now i would rather go and buy a well reared puppy with a sire and dam that have done the jobs that has been asked of them Quote Link to post
MR POACH 2
THERES NO AGE , as to when a dogs been tested, if its stood up to be counted and earnt its place time and time again thats all that matters , names, titles and bloodlines dont come into it ,while that dogs working ............ when your walking back to the car , after a nights lamping , and the dogs delivered the goods even when the chips were down , youll know wether its worth breeding from or not !! a relitavely young dog ........ tried and tested Edited May 26, 2009 by MR POACH Quote Link to post

Guest fence_hopper
either that dogs to hard or its not very good at its job, why the foks it so marked up i've seen some realy hard bull crosses been doing it for 5-6 yrs not that smashed. if he's still doing it by time he's 7 or 8 you'll no if he's as good as you think. the reason i say that is my mates grey bitch is to hard she's smashed to fuk and he's had to retire her early. nice dog though best of luck and hope you have many more seasons out of him Quote Link to post
